This weekend we are back in the United Kingdom for UK Nationals. This two-day event, in Nottingham, will be streamed by ULTI.TV also once again. This way you can enjoy British (and Irish) ultimate all weekend long.
This tournament is an EUF-approved event, which means that points can be earned here for Finals, which for many teams is the primary focus of this entire 2024 club season.
In the Women's Division
ICENI, Bristol, and LMU are the top three seeds of this tournament and are also close to each other in the ranking. ICENI is on spot 9 followed by Bristol on number 10 and LMU at spot 12. With these positions, the teams have placed themselves in a safe spot in the ranking. This ranking also shows that the teams are evenly matched, which might lead to spectacular games.
For the Open Division
In the open division, teams Clapham and Chevron are in a safe spot in the ranking for EUCF bids, standing at number 2 and 8. Bristol's open team is just outside the safe space being number 12 on the list, with that they are at the top of the potential ranking list. This UK nationals might be crucial for this team to make it to EUCF.
But the question is will Clapham take back the crown, potentially starting a new run, because last year Chevron ended a 20 year consecutive run, which was insane as you can see and hear below. Or wil Chevron start a run this time? Watch this weekend.
And the Mixed Division
In the mixed division, Great Britain is doing well with no less than five teams on the bid list. HECK and Glasgow are ranked 2nd and 3rd, followed by Leamington Lemmings and Deep Space at 5th and 6th, and finally Reading Ultimate at 11th. Also in this division the teams are close to each other and will make some interesting games.
