Medals will be decided today so join your pals at ULTI.TV to see who wins what!
Good morning friends, it’s been a wild ride in Lithuania for the European Indoor Ultimate Championships but we are firmly at the business end of things now. Medals will be decided today so join your pals at ULTI.TV to see who wins what!
Let’s start with the women’s division, where the final is a repeat of a game we have seen already. The Netherlands will play Sweden, looking to avenge the universe-point win that the Swedes pulled out on Friday. Both teams have looked fantastic, with quick styles that utilise great handling and the outstanding downfield athletes they’ve brought to the tournament. Given how close the last one was, there’s sure to be fireworks in this gold medal game! Great Britain will also face home favourites Lithuania as they look to keep dirty gold from travelling anywhere else. The bronze game is at 10am local time(in about half an hour!) the final is at 1pm!
The mixed division final pits a balanced GB team against an Estonia team with stars that have propelled them to their first European final. While GB have a number of players in double figures in stats but no one over 20, Estonia features Jakob Tamm and his 33 stats, assisted by some other strong players but a larger number below 10. Can GB stop the Estonians’ talismanic and can Estonia slow a deep GB roster? Finland will play Slovakia for bronze at 12pm local time. The final will be at 3pm.
Finally, let’s talk open. The Belgians pulled out a win in a phenomenal game against Latvia in the semi and will face another Northern European rival in the final, this time Finland. The Finns beat Ukraine, who will be searching for a feel-good medal that everyone would be behind. The Belgians feature several of Mooncatchers’ top players, while the Finns have some of the players who made WUCC semis with PuTi earlier this year. It’s going to be another belter! The bronze game is at 11am, the final at 2pm.
Here’s a quick run down of those times again just so we’re all clear and you don’t miss a thing:

12pm: Mixed bronze match (Finland vs Slovakia)
