🇦🇺 Back to grassroots mixed for the Australian University Nationals 🦘

Thanks to UniSport we will have grassroots coverage of this huge event!

After the dazzling spectacle of Worlds, we’re returning to where it all begins:

Grassroots (usually) Mixed Ultimate

Where was the first time you picked up that disc to play Ultimate, in the park at campus grounds? At a beginner’s course? On the beach? Or super classic, on that parking lot.

The 2024 UniSport Nationals is set to kick off in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, bringing together over 6,000 participants from across the country, all vying to be crowned national champions in one of 30 the sports. Among them? Ultimate, of course!

🏆 Ultimate in Australia:

As you might have understood for them Ultimate is a big deal in the land Down Under.

WUC 2024 in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, marks a historic occasion. It was the largest Ultimate event ever hosted in Australia AND the first time that the championships were held in the Southern Hemisphere.

Sports, in general, play a huge role in the country’s culture. With stadiums packed and passionate athletes (in swimming and breakdance) ready to give it their all.

We love helping communities showcase our sport to friends, family, and fans worldwide. Ulti.TV started in Adelaide, Australia in 2010 and we have worked tirelessly across Oceania and Europe to make access to streaming for the world possible, creating opportunities not just for athletes to be seen but for countless others to gain experience in the world of broadcasting.

At ULTI.TV, we’re thrilled to support grassroots broadcasting and especially when it’s mixed because that’s where our heart beats strongest.

Not a lot is clear about the event and what will be going down there, but that’s what the charm is too of these smaller events. There is a small crew that drove from the Gold Coast to Canberra to bring you this and you can follow along on our YouTube.
